The Sad Reality
“I haven’t had this energy in decades”
This was my first though after cleaning my body with raw foods awhile back. Then I realized something upsetting. I didn’t even realize how little energy I had because it became my norm. I’ll be willing to bet you’re the same way. Talk to anyone and they’ll tell you how “run down” they constantly feel – and because we all feel the same way we think it’s normal!
Sounds crazy but it’s true.
What to Eat for Energy

5 Natural Foods for Energy
Maca
Maca is a root native to the high Andes in Peru. This root has been used for thousands of years by the indigenous people to give energy and as an aphrodisiac. If you have a sensitive stomach it is best to avoid Maca since it can be hard to digest.
Tea
Tea contains about half the caffeine as a cup of coffee. However it also contains polyphenols and the amino acid L-thiamine. These two compounds in tea make it so that the caffeine is digested slowly, and you won’t experience any jitters or crashes.
Water
Sounds too simple right? Wrong. Most of the time I feel tired, it’s because I am dehydrated.
Tree Nuts
Tree nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, and cashews contain healthy fat. This will give you an instant energy boost without putting stress on your digestive track like animal protein.
Bananas
All fruits will give you energy, but for some reason bananas give me an extra kick.
